Course 200 – Fundamentals And Strategies In Worker Injury Prevention
This course will provide you, in a step-by-step fashion, tools and strategies to design a solid and effective worker injury prevention program. Course topics include assembling a safety team, developing and communication a safety policy, developing and implementing an annual safety plan, employee and supervisory safety training strategies, techniques to effectively screen, hire and indoctrinate new employees, and how to enhance employee attitudes towards safety. The course provides an overview of OSHA record keeping and inspection procedures as well as a detailed explanation of key OSHA standards that you will most frequently encounter. At the end of this course you will have a sound working knowledge to help customers and prospects design and implement an effective worker injury prevention program that gets results and remain in compliance with OSHA standards.
Course 300 – Fundaments In Workers Compensation Claim Management
This course is loaded with tools, techniques and strategies to respond promptly to worker injuries, implement an ADA-compliant temporary duty program, and manage the entire claim process from start to closure. Throughout the course you will be provided all the letters, forms and checklists needed to jump start your consulting practice. The course will also explain in detail the interaction between the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and workers compensation law. This knowledge alone will separate you from your competition and wow your customers. The course provides ironclad strategies to monitor open claims, control the doctors, and minimize attorney involvement. Course 500 - Fundamentals of Experience Rating & Risk Financing
This course applies all the knowledge gained in the previous courses to reduce your customer’s workers compensation experience modification to its lowest possible level. This important, yet misunderstood, premium rating factor will be explained in easy-to-understand terms. Through countless examples you will learn how to apply your injury prevention, claim management, and premium rating knowledge to reduce the workers compensation experience modification year after year. You also will learn how to find current and past errors and how to correct them (the experience modification is wrong over half the time!). Turnkey resources are provided for you every step of the way. Finally, you will learn how to design and negotiate risk financing alternatives ranging from guaranteed cost, dividend and retrospective rating plans, partially and fully self-funded programs and captives.
